Commissioner Grady Prestage represents Fort Bend County Precinct 2, which includes portions of Houston, Missouri City and Stafford. During his tenure, Commissioner Prestage initiated the development of the Fort Bend County Community Development Department, the Fort Bend County Housing Finance Corporation, the Fort Bend Toll Road Authority, and the Fort Bend County Parks and Recreation Department. Commissioner Prestage has been heavily involved in the development of numerous county facilities including parks, community centers, libraries, annex buildings, and major mobility projects.
Commissioner Grady Prestage has transformed Fort Bend County through the establishment of three libraries, four Boys & Girls Clubs, and numerous community centers and parks, all while overseeing over $250 million in infrastructure projects. Since 1991, he has cut the county tax rate by 37% and increased the number of minority department heads from zero to 17, championing diversity and inclusion. Grady’s commitment to empowering minority-owned businesses and enhancing community quality of life makes him a vital leader for our future. Join us in supporting his vision for a thriving community
Commissioner’s Corner” is a local-government communication series where Commissioner Prestage talks with community stakeholders to update residents on county projects, services, and issues affecting Precinct 2 and Fort Bend County. he goal is to keep residents informed and connected to local government efforts, explain ongoing projects, and showcase people working in the community.
